Microsoft Windows 7 in the Market

Microsoft Windows 7 goes on shop yesterday on 21st October 2009, it’s the news operating system from Microsoft released in two years after the launch of Windows Vista in January 2007. Microsoft has chosen a relatively low-key launch for the software, which is designed to make it easier to share files and folders across multiple home computers, and browse the internet safely.

The last launched of the operating system i.e. Windows 7 received a raw reception from users and critics alike, who found that it didn’t work on some older, more basic machines, and didn’t make out some peripherals, such as digital cameras and printers.

Microsoft this time has tried to overcome the entire problem faced in the last operating system of Windows 7. “Windows 7 is about more than just a collection of new features,” said Ashley Highfield, a senior Microsoft executive. “It’s a pivotal turning point in Microsoft’s history.”

The company has listed down all the user feed back on Windows Vista, and then designed the new operating system, and this time Microsoft is confident to say that user hadn’t find that much flexible and easy to use operating system ever in History.

Around a billion people use the Windows operating system on their PCs, and Microsoft’s software powers around 90 per cent of the world’s computers. But Microsoft faces increasing competition with Apple and Google unlike past. Apple has just passed its best ever quarter for sales of its Mac computers, while Google has confirmed that it will be launching its own operating system, Chrome, some time next year.

However, some industry experts have criticized Microsoft for not making the upgrade process easier for the majority of computer users. An estimated 60 per cent of Windows users are still using Windows XP, the operating system released in 2001, but in order to upgrade to Windows 7, they will need to completely remover their computer of all music, photos, documents and software first.

But some Microsoft customers and Officials have privately said that, the user could buy a new PC for himself, and then shift the entire data from the old operating system PC to the new one containing Windows 7.
