Windows 7 sales crossed by 200% than Vista

It wasn’t an easy task, but unlike vista, windows 7 did it. Consumer trade sales of Microsoft newest operating system topped those of Vista by 234% on a unit basis within the first few days of Windows 7′s Oct. 22 launch, according to a report unconstrained on Friday by market research company NPD Group. Although the report did not include sales to businesses and large organizations.

But this time Microsoft had also provided the discount on up gradation and PC sales totally made for windows7 operating system. So can say that the revenue could be less for Microsoft this time, but sales had eventually increased than windows vista launch also due to the discount offer.
