A project for space settlement at America’s National Aeronautical Space Agency (NASA) would be designed by a group of Indian and Pakistani students. Designing a space city for 10K inhabitants will not only test their technical competence but also their imagination, organization skills, environmental acquaintance, collaboration as well as management.
US Ambassador in India Timothy J Roemer received the students on Tuesday; he said he was looking forward to hear their skills in the US. This group of Indian and Pakistani students are mutually scheming the future of our civilization – one with few limitations of geographical boundaries.
The students had qualified for working at NASA’s 16th Annual International Space Settlement Design Competition. The competition has been sponsored by NASA and Boeing.
The engaging team includes high school students from Amity International School, Delhi and Lahore Grammar School who will be joining 12 other finalist teams from around the world to compete at NASA’s Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas.
