Over 7.1m viewers live streamed for IPL on YouTube

YouTube has strike a record viewership with the live streaming of the Indian Premier League. The number touched 7.1 million as of today and is still including. This number is the highest for YouTube worldwide and Google is now confident that it is ready to display case other international live games as well.

Viewership in the first two hours of IPL screening stood at 4.5 lakh. This is the highest viewership in two hours of any live screening on the Internet for YouTube. March 13 viewership touched 1 million while March 15 viewership touched 6.9 million.
