5 Weird Old Laws 

Laws are generally put in place to keep society safe; however the rule books are not regularly updated. There are still some laws in existence that are not only baffling but downright stupid. Either they have just remained unnoticed or there is someone somewhere who feels (for reasons best kept to themselves) that they are still relevant. Decide for yourself, here are just five of them.

 It is against State Law to get a fish drunk in Ohio, US. Leaves you wondering just what happens when they are drunk, and who decided they had to be teetotal. 

In Baltimore, Maryland it is illegal to take a lion to the cinema.

Obvious really, they’d eat all the popcorn. I wonder if that means its legal everywhere else.

In Alabama it is illegal to wear a fake moustache that causes laughter in church. Now that’s really shame, sometimes a service needs lightening up a little.

In Hereford, you may not shoot a Welsh person on Sunday with a longbow in the Cathedral Close. However, in Chester you can only shoot a Welsh person with a bow and arrow inside the city walls and after midnight. Then in York, excluding Sundays, it is apparently legal to shoot a Scotsman with a bow and arrow. Bit picky with the specifics here aren’t they? Begs you to wonder who the Celtic cousins were that upset these folks in the first place.

And finally…In Kentucky, no female is allowed to appear in a bathing suit on a highway unless she is escorted by at least two police officers, or armed with a club.  Why??
